What You Will Do:
Work from operation sheets, drawings, computer generated information and verbal instructions, obtain specified equipment, tools and gages to machine, fabricate and finish a variety of production parts. Perform bench assembly and finishing operations as assigned, using a variety of handheld tools, power tools and other equipment to process parts during various stages of manufacturing operations. Perform part preparatory function including various methods of grit blast, shot peening, masking and routine oven operations to clean parts or condition surfaces for coatings. Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions. Record results and enter information into computer data systems as required. Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions such as operator's check list for upkeep and to assure equipment operates properly. Assist others who are responsible for new equipment or process tryout and other specialized assignments within the scope and skill level of this job description. Refer problems to leader/supervisor as appropriate to resolve difficulties. May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual's skills. May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.
Qualifications You Must Have:
HS Diploma or equivalent 6 months of machining experience or 1 year of technical training.
