Job Description

Visual Inspector $18 - $21 Glastonbury, CT Fulltime Monday- Friday A Visual Inspector evaluates products, components, or materials to identify any surface defects, structural imperfections, or inconsistencies. They ensure that manufactured goods meet strict safety and quality standards before moving forward in the production process.
Core Responsibilities Defect Identification:
Manually examine parts, assemblies, or raw materials for cracks, scratches, dents, warping, corrosion, or contamination.
Quality Assurance:
Verify that items conform to engineering drawings & blueprints.
Documentation:
Log inspection results, document non-conformances, and mark defective items for scrap, salvage, or rework.
Equipment Use:
Use magnification tools (e.g., microscopes), micrometers, and calipers to inspect smaller or high-precision parts.
Process Support:
Maintain a clean workspace in accordance with industry guidelines.
Key Requirements Physical & Cognitive Skills:
Exceptional visual acuity and intense attention to detail. Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Technical Proficiencies:
Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and using standard measurement tools. Assembly skills , soldering, electronic assembly, small hand assembly, production work, etc. Call 860-773-0059.
