The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately masking various components using blueprints, specialized materials and techniques to protect surfaces from overspray and contamination. • Prepare parts by applying masking materials to protect surfaces prior to painting or finishing.
• Interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine masking requirements.
• Select and apply appropriate masking tapes, films, and plugs to ensure precise coverage.
• Inspect parts before and after masking for conformity to quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the masking work area.
• Collaborate with painters and other production staff to coordinate work schedules and processes.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to prevent damage and ensure a safe working environment.
• Report any issues or discrepancies observed during masking to the supervisor promptly. Requirements
• Technical or vocational training in aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
• Prior experience in parts masking within the aviation or aerospace industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
• Ability to understand work instructions with potential to read technical drawings.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
