This role is integral to ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision in the preparation of various motor, medical and aircraft parts for painting and finishing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately masking various components using blueprints, specialized materials and techniques to protect surfaces from overspray and contamination. Working in a highly regulated environment, adherence to safety protocols and industry standards is critical. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong and meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting. - Prepare parts by applying masking materials to protect surfaces prior to painting or finishing.
- Interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine masking requirements.
- Select and apply appropriate masking tapes, films, and plugs to ensure precise coverage.
- Inspect parts before and after masking for conformity to quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the masking work area.
- Collaborate with painters and other production staff to coordinate work schedules and processes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to prevent damage and ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any issues or discrepancies observed during masking to the supervisor promptly. Requirements
- Technical or vocational training in aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
- Prior experience in parts masking within the aviation or aerospace industry preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Ability to understand work instructions with potential to read technical drawings.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Pay:
