Press Operator Avna Inc. New Britain, CT Job Details Full-time 15 hours ago Qualifications Machine shop presses Press operation Machine setup Equipment setup (production tasks) Industrial equipment troubleshooting Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Hand tools Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Set Up Operator with 3+ years' experience and excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to follow complex set-up procedures. Must have a working knowledge of metal stamping, material de-coilers and stock straighteners, and experience operating mechanical presses and other machine shop equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and sensors are a plus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Daily set ups of production jobs in mechanical presses ranging from 30 to 400 tons Maintenance and troubleshooting of complex progressive and compound metal stamping dies Operation of mechanical presses ranging from 30 to 400 tons
SET UP OPERATORS ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO
Have knowledge of comparators, dial indicators, vision equipment, micrometers, calipers and basic hand tools Have good communication skills Have good attendance Be responsible for their work Be able to lift moderate loads regularly (under 40 lbs.) Have a positive attitude and be a team player Prioritize changes in a fast pace working environment
