Job Description

Lance Woven Leather is seeking a weaver to join our team. This is a hands-on, on-site role for a craftsperson who is confident dressing and weaving on a 16+ harness Dobby loom. Please come with skills, curiosity, a love of weaving and working as a team.
ABOUT US
Lance Woven Leather is a small design company focused on developing the most beautiful, custom woven leathers for interior design applications. We are in constant development, and believe that every well-dressed interior requires a touch of woven leather. We work closely and respectfully with one another, our vendors, and customers.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Demonstrated experience in weaving, preferably with leather or similar materials Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on-site A portfolio or examples of previous work is appreciated.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Weave leather and other components to specification, maintaining consistent quality and precision Collaborate with our team to meet production timelines and design requirements Inspect finished work to ensure it meets LWL standards Handle and care for leather materials properly throughout the weaving process A MUST Experience on Dobby Loom — including sectional warping and dressing the loom Proficiency in using a sewing machine Experience with patterning software (i.e., WeavePoint, Fiberworks PW, iWeaveIt. ProWeave) for Dobby loom GENERAL We are a dynamic, Mac based office. This position requires excellent relationship building and multi-tasking.
