Position Summary This position is for a vacuum furnace operator / copper plate inspector whose primary responsibilities include visual inspecting parts prior to loading into vacuum furnaces, monitoring the furnaces, and ensuring parts are following the prescribed process. Essential Functions- Inspect copper plate for location, thickness and quality.
- Prepare parts for vacuum carburizing.
- Monitor vacuum furnaces.
- Perform SAT's (System Accuracy Test).
- Maintain quality records.
- Hardness test parts after heat treatment. Experience and Education
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
