Aerotek is hiring for a Laborer & Machine Operator in Greenwood DE. This is a contract-to-hire position. Job Description We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to operate a CNC laser machines and support a variety of other production equipment. You will work with precision cutting processes, follow detailed instructions, and contribute to a clean, safe, and organized fabrication environment while collaborating closely with a team-focused workforce. Responsibilities Operate and monitor a CNC laser machine to cut materials to precise specifications. Set up machines, including adjusting controls and parameters, to ensure proper and efficient operation. Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, or work instructions to complete assignments accurately. Perform basic troubleshooting on machines to identify and resolve minor operational issues. Carry out minor maintenance tasks on equipment to keep machines in good working condition. Inspect and verify finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards. Assist with operating other production equipment as part of cross-training across the shop. Follow all company safety procedures, production guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Essential Skills Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how machines and equipment operate. Strong problem-solving ability to identify and address basic machine and production issues. Basic math skills, including working with measurements, conversions, and tolerances. Ability to read and understand production instructions, job orders, and machine documentation. Capability to operate industrial or manufacturing equipment, with prior experience preferred. Reliability and attention to detail when working with precision cutting and fabrication processes. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a production environment. Willingness to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience operating industrial or manufacturing equipment is preferred. Experience with CNC equipment, including CNC laser machines, is a plus but not required. Willingness to learn and be trained on multiple machines and production processes. Comfort working in a fabrication shop environment with organized workflows and production schedules. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwood, DE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
