In this role, you will be responsible for operating manual machining equipment to produce high-precision hydraulic components and assemblies. Your expertise in mechanical blueprint interpretation, measurement tools, and manual machining techniques will ensure the quality and accuracy of every part produced. Duties Set up and operate manual machining tools such as lathes, Radial arm drills, grinders, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and hand tools to produce hydraulic parts according to specifications. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements. Perform precise measurements using measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards. Assemble hydraulic components with attention to detail, ensuring proper fit and function. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in machine setup, calibration, and tooling adjustments for optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes. Qualifications Proven experience in manual machining within a manufacturing or hydraulic workshop environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with machining tools including lathes, grinders, hand tools, and tooling setups. Knowledge of basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations in machining processes. Understanding of safety standards related to manual machining operations. Ability to read and understand technical documentation including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Experience with assembly of hydraulic components is a plus. Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with knowledge of M-code or CNC G-code programming are advantageous but not mandatory.
