Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment. Operate various CNC-controlled machines, such as presses, lasers, and rolling mills in a fast-paced production setting, with an emphasis on safety and qualityPerforms routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
Marks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.
Interprets blueprints, specifications, and other technical data to select the correct raw material or semi-finished parts.
Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area.
Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate wasteUtilize scanning equipmentInspect work visually for defects according to Quality SystemsRead a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedulesTeam player and keeping safety firstMay be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team LeaderWilling/able to work overtimeQualifications1 year of experience

DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESThe Machine Operator I is responsible for setting up and operating heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations. They must have thorough knowledge of production techniques and the ability to produce quality-building parts. Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environmentAbility to set-up and operate machinery and equipment to cut, punch, form, or paint quality finished or semi-finished parts.Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment.
