McIver Clinic has been a trusted leader in urological care in Jacksonville since 1921. With multiple locations throughout the greater Jacksonville area and more than 27 providers, we deliver patient-centered care across a broad range of urological services. Job Overview We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused Medical Assistant / Basic Machine Operator to join our perioperative team at a busy office-based urology surgery center. This hybrid clinical position supports patient care, provider procedures, and diagnostic imaging services. The employee will perform duties consistent with their training, certification, and applicable Florida requirements. Essential Job Functions Perform authorized basic machine operator and diagnostic imaging duties as assigned. Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, treatments, and imaging services. Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for provider visits. Obtain and document vital signs and relevant patient information. Assist physicians with examinations and in-office procedures within the scope of the role. Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Prepare patients and clinical areas for examinations, procedures, and imaging services. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational privacy standards. Follow established safety and infection-control procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required High school diploma or equivalent. Current CPR certification. Current Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO) certification, as required for the position. Preferred Medical Assistant certification. At least one year of medical office or urology experience. Experience in an office-based surgical or procedural setting. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
