Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Encapsulation Machine Operator to support capsule manufacturing operations within a GMP-regulated production environment. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, cleaning, and troubleshooting encapsulation equipment while ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operations:
Set up and operate encapsulation machines according to production schedules and work orders. Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime. Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production targets. Perform in-process inspections including capsule weight, appearance, and consistency checks.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on encapsulation equipment. Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and escalate major repairs when necessary. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues promptly.
Quality and Compliance:
Follow GMP, SOP, and safety procedures at all times. Complete production logs, batch records, and quality documentation accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the encapsulation area. Identify and report product defects, deviations, or equipment concerns immediately.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production teams. Communicate effectively during shift changes to ensure production continuity. Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience operating encapsulation or manufacturing equipment preferred. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to read and interpret SOPs, work orders, and production instructions. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, dust, and production noise. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motion. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. PPE required while working in production areas.
