Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Set-up to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various industrial equipment, assembling components, and ensuring the production of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with advanced machinery, and a commitment to safety protocols. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to efficient manufacturing processes while maintaining rigorous quality standards. Responsibilities Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment including CNC lathes, press brake machines, plastics injection molding, plastics extrusion, and robotic systems to produce components according to specifications. Set up and calibrate machinery using measurement tools such as precision measuring instruments and dimensional measurement devices to ensure accuracy. Perform quality inspections throughout the production process, utilizing measurement (quality control) techniques to verify product dimensions and tolerances. Handle materials safely and efficiently using forklifts and proper materials handling procedures within warehouse environments. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic engineering troubleshooting on industrial equipment to minimize downtime. Maintain safety protocols at all times, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Document production data accurately and communicate any operational issues promptly to supervisors. Experience Proven experience in plastics production, including plastics blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion processes. Knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance practices. Warehouse experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Prior experience in manufacturing environments emphasizing safety protocol adherence and quality inspection. Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering troubleshooting guides, and measurement specifications. Pay:
