Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Trim Operator to join our steel manufacturing team. The Trim Operator is responsible for operating trimming and finishing equipment used in the production of steel products while ensuring quality standards, efficiency, and workplace safety are maintained. Key Responsibilities Operate trimming machines and related production equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect steel products for defects, dimensions, and quality standards. Measure and trim materials according to production specifications. Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues or malfunctions. Perform routine machine setup, adjustments, and basic maintenance. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Follow all plant safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies. Keep work area clean and organized. Assist other production team members as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing or steel industry experience is a plus. Ability to read measuring tools, gauges, and production specifications. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred. Strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Comfortable working in hot, noisy, and dusty industrial conditions. Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts when required.
