Laser Machine Operator We are seeking a dependable Laser Machine Operator to join our steel manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating CNC laser cutting equipment to produce accurate, high-quality metal components according to production drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate has experience operating CNC or automated manufacturing equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting equipment. Review work orders, drawings, and production requirements to ensure accurate cutting operations. Select and verify machine programs and adjust operating settings as needed. Load, position, and remove materials and finished parts. Monitor cutting operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain production quality. Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, cut quality, and conformance to specifications. Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools to verify completed work. Identify and troubleshoot routine machine issues and cutting defects. Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic operator maintenance. Organize finished parts and materials for subsequent production operations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Meet established production expectations while maintaining quality standards. Qualifications Previous CNC laser cutting machine experience preferred. Experience operating CNC machinery or automated manufacturing equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and measurements. Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills. Ability to accurately use tape measures and other measuring tools. Experience working with steel or other metal materials preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and follow production instructions. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to lift and handle materials within established job requirements. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
