Job Purpose The Blend Operator I is responsible for accurately mixing and blending all powder ingredients into blends by using various food handling equipment in a clean food safe environment. Essential Duties Read work orders to determine production specifications or information for blends. Learn to use the ERP system to properly consume material, identify material, and complete certain blend processes. Accurately and properly fill out any related documentation needed for the blend process using scales in grams and or Kilos. Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements set by the work order. Mix or blend ingredients using industrial equipment such as a Munson blender, Comils, Tote tumblers, Etc. Follow all SOP's and cGMP requirements. Participate in all applicable safety and food safety training and wear proper personal protective equipment as needed. Maintain a clean workspace by assisting in housekeeping duties to minimize food safety risks. Able to lift 30 pounds repeatedly, 50 pounds frequently and 75 + pounds with assistance, daily. Ability to lift, twist, crawl, reach, grab, bend, stoop, climb, or perform similar activities as needed and stand for long periods. Use material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, pallet stackers, standing and riding forklifts. Willing to work overtime as necessary. Other duties may be assigned. High school diploma /GED or equivalent work experience is preferred.Experience:
Prioritization and time management skills Working quickly without compromising quality In a food facility or facility that follows cGMP practices is preferred but not required. Key Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
