Lumber Yard Worker

Responsibilities Load and unload lumber and building materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes while adhering to safety protocols. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, to facilitate materials handling and order picking. Maintain a clean, organized yard by stacking lumber properly on pallets and ensuring safe storage practices. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure mechanical integrity and safety compliance per OSHA standards. Support warehouse supervisors in inventory control, stock replenishment, and implementing warehouse distribution procedures. Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials handling. Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, crane systems, pallet jacks, and load/unload machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards for heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking or load & unload tasks. Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities in team coordination. Pay:

$12.00 - $16.00 per hour
