What You'll Do:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Equipment Operator for our automated warehouse at the distribution center. The primary role of the Equipment Operator is to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the warehouse, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, damage control, and maintaining overall cleanliness (clean as you go).
Key Responsibilities:
Fault Correction:
Identify and correct physical faults within the automated system through manual intervention within the machine.
System Reset:
Reset computer faults as they occur.
Fault Monitoring:
Monitor the automated system for visual indications of faults by inspecting the system and computer screens.
Training & Accreditation:
Maintain accreditation through ongoing training and requisite testing.
Pallet Information Retrieval:
Use pallet application software (MFC) to retrieve information on pallets.
Capacity Monitoring:
Monitor tray warehouse capacity using system reports.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Requirements:
Sense of Urgency:
Ability to work swiftly and efficiently to maintain the flow of operations.
Physical Agility:
Capable of navigating ladders, steps, conveyors, and machinery with ease.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Understanding of mechanical systems to identify and address issues effectively.
Basic Computer Skills:
Competency in basic computer operations and software applications related to warehouse management.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
