This role serves as the primary technical resource for crimping operations, ensuring all products meet
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards and customer specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate crimping equipment, tooling, applicators, and terminals according to product specifications. Validate machine setups and support first article inspections and process verification. Perform crimp height measurements, pull testing, and visual inspections. Ensure compliance with
IPC/WHMA-A-620
Class II/III standards and customer requirements. Troubleshoot crimp defects, tooling issues, and equipment performance problems. Participate in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze production and quality data to improve process performance. Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Support documentation updates, new product introductions, and manufacturing process improvements. Provide technical support to production teams and assist with wire harness, cable, and electro-mechanical assembly as needed. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, assembly, machine operation, or related experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to read and follow technical instructions, diagrams, and specifications. Preferred Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, or electronics manufacturing. Familiarity with
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards. Experience with pull testing, crimp height analysis, and crimp quality inspection. Experience setting up or programming manufacturing equipment.
