Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Water Jet Operator to join our Powder Springs, GA team. In this role, you will operate and maintain a Flow water jet to precisely cut aluminum metal, ensuring high-quality output that meets exact specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about manufacturing and fabrication, eager to contribute their technical skills. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC water jet cutting machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production runs Interpret detailed blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to program the water jet equipment Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of CNC water jet machinery to maintain optimal performance Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, preparing materials for cutting operations Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC water jet cutting machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM software tools Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems Ability to read blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings accurately Mechanical aptitude with experience in machining, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, lathes, press brake machines, and welding processes Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and machine settings Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts is preferred Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and factory environment standards Additional skills such as solidWorks CAD design or familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are advantageous Experience with FLOW waterjet's is a plus!
