Job Description

The Op Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of assigned equipment. A key requirement of this position is to attain daily scheduling, efficiency, and quality goals in accordance with posted product and process standards. This position also works closely with Quality Assurance and Maintenance departments to ensure conformance to customer and regulatory expectations. Day and night shift available. Night shift=4p-4a
Duties and Responsibilities :
Set up and cleaning of machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization, industry, and regulatory standards and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Verify and document codes, materials and key process parameters Maintain required documentation for material usage and downtime Perform when necessary all quality checks required to ensure equipment is operating within specifications and established SPC control limits. Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment problems. Properly conduct start of shift meetings with your team. Must learn and utilize Red Zone Program to meet production requirements. Required to complete other daily tasks deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred; food manufacturing experience is a plus. Ability to operate, monitor, and make basic adjustments to production equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions, production procedures, and safety requirements. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to complete production paperwork accurately and legibly. Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and recording production information. Ability to follow GMPs, food safety, quality, sanitation, and allergen-control requirements . Ability to recognize equipment or product issues and promptly notify the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established production standards. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work around food ingredients, production equipment, varying temperatures, and noise.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time as well as walk and climb stairs. Bending and squatting may be required along with lifting up to 50 pounds. The Warehouse Lead is frequently required to use arms to reach out and us hands to grasp objects and/or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
