Job description Giro Pack, Inc. is hiring two (2) Knitting Operators to support production operations at our Vidalia, GA. location. Currently the selected candidates will be trained Monday

• Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, once training is completed the candidates will work on 2nd shift, Monday
• Friday (2:00 pm
• 10:00 pm) or 3rd Shift, Monday
• Friday (10:00 pm
• 6:00 am) The Knitting Operator plays an integral part in the manufacturing of products within the fruit/vegetable packaging industry and is responsible for the safe/efficient operation of thirty industrial knitting machines.

Knitting Operator job duties include:

Ensuring knitting machines are operated correctly and report any shortcomings to the supervisor/maintenance in a timely manner Complete required production forms Maintain/Lube production machinery as needed Ability to stand for long periods of time Maintain a clean and safe work area Ensure knitting material and core material are properly stocked Transfer scrap materials to assigned area Scan/transport finished products to assigned area Conduct other tasks as assigned by supervisor Requirements and skills: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.) Excellent hand-eye coordination Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus Communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safety rules Ability to work in a fast pace environment Very good vision and ability to handle intricate, detail oriented work Warehouse experience is an asset, but not necessary Must be able/willing to work a flexible schedule
