A Packaging Machine Operator operates and maintains machinery which packages a product or products at a production or manufacturing facility, or a distribution hub.

These are onsite positions offering up to 40 hours per week, including overtime, supporting a fast-paced production environment. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply with an updated resume. Job Duties Meet all Safety, Health, Quality, and Environmental requirements when performing job duties. Work overtime and weekends as required. Perform packaging on packing lines, manual lines, and all other ancillary equipment as required. Perform dumpback job duties and responsibilities. Maintain an accurate dumpback log. Select and install proper screen sizes. Perform Special Projects (detailed cleaning). Relieve other operators for breaks. Perform sanitation tasks as required. Perform quality checks as required. Other Duties and Responsibilities (List job duties which may be important to the performance of the job but are not principal job functions.) Regular attendance. Must have good communication skills. Must be able to work overtime. Must work well with others. Safety Responsibilities Understand when and how to wear the appropriate personal protection (i.e., goggles when using compressed air). Use proper lifting techniques. Locate, read, and explain information contained on an MSDS for a hazardous material used on this job. Understand dust explosion hazards. Understand emergency evacuation routes and evacuation procedures. Understand and use LOTO procedures. Quality Assurance / Product Safety No jewelry (no rings, earrings, body piercings, etc.), and hair must be tucked up and inside of a helmet. Clothes should be in good, clean condition with appropriate PPE worn.
