3rd Shift; Sunday-Thursday 11:00PM-7:00
AM Pay:
$22/hour ($19.00/hour + $3.00/hour shift premium)
Bonus:
$2,000 Hiring/Retention Bonus!!
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Pre-Treat Operator/Blaster to join our production team in Dubuque, IA. The Pre-Treat Operator/Blaster is responsible for preparing products for coating using a variety of pre-treatment processes and equipment. The ideal candidate ensures that all products meet customer specifications, company quality standards, and production goals while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate pre-treatment equipment including media blast machines, auger washers, and chemical wash tanks. Follow job travelers and production schedules to ensure proper processing and efficiency. Use forklifts and pallet jacks to transport heavy product bins to and from machines. Conduct safety and quality checks, including monitoring chemical titration levels and ensuring correct product treatment. Maintain daily documentation and logs as required. Ensure product is processed correctly to prevent rust or under-treatment. Perform safety walks and ensure workspace is free from hazards. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively across shifts. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Cross-train in other areas of production as needed. Support other departments and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs frequently, 65 lbs occasionally, and 75 lbs rarely. Comfortable working in a production environment with chemicals and high temperatures. Full range of physical motion, including standing, bending, twisting, and reaching for extended periods.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Dependability and attention to detail. Basic math, reading, and writing skills. Basic computer skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to follow instructions and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
Work EnvironmentPhysical Demands:
Work is performed in a production/warehouse setting. Exposure to chemicals and hot conditions. Frequent movement, including standing and lifting throughout the shift.
