Job Description

at QPS Employment Group in Eldridge, Iowa, United States Job Description QPS Employment Group has a great Machine Operator position available at a company in Eldridge, IA. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and operate machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications to determine required operations.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands for machine execution.
  • Load raw materials and parts onto machines and set up machines for full cycles.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure proper functionality.
  • Correctly log in tools and ensure tools and paperwork remain organized.
  • Maintain product cleanliness, free from burns, dirt, and grime.
  • Coordinate coating runs and monitor coaters for proper operation.
  • Accurately pick and pull orders from inventory, package, label, and prepare boxes as needed.
  • Perform inspections of purchased parts or finished products using standard physical, mechanical, or vision systems.
  • Perform repetitive visual and dimensional checks of products.
  • Recommend rework or rejection of finished products when necessary.
  • Document inspection results accurately and prepare documentation for supervisor review.
  • Complete precision hand honing under microscope, filing flats on cutting edges of carbide drill bits and measuring flats accurately.
  • Handle sharp cutting tools safely, transporting tools between storage and work area.
