Now Hiring! Afinitas is looking for someone to join our growing team here in Mediapolis, IA. We are a manufacturing company that produces robotic automated equipment that produces concrete products. We are HIRING a Machine Operator that can run multiple machines in our Reduction department. This is a 1st Shift position 5am-3pm Monday-Thursday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBLITIES

Startup and shut down the machine as recommended by maintenance Operate both overhead and jib-style cranes Operate fork truck Operate machine(s) in such a manner to meet Hawkeye quality standards Operate machine(s) in both a safe and productive manner Perform required preventative maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous work experience as a machine operator in like field Setup and operate the following machines: o Roll bending o Press brake o Laser o Saws o Plasma Read and interpret prints without supervision and/or direction Certified crane operator Certified fork truck operator Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; able to handle shifting priorities and deadlines; able to properly prioritize. Have good housekeeping habits and strict adherence to safety. Take personal ownership and pride of quality work in the department. Ability to comply with all work-related deadlines and work overtime when required by the situation. Willing to assist in other areas as needed. Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment Willing to assist in other areas as needed.
