Job Description

Iowa Custom Wood Company, LLC is looking to add a new member to our team. We are currently looking for a part time employee who would be able to work 24-40 hours. Full time position may be possible after a certain period. We build a large variety of wood projects and occasionally get into some metal and plastic work. Some of our past and current projects include train remodel, kitchen remodels, epoxy dining tables, benches, wood production parts, metal support frames, signs, cutting boards, and much more. The ideal candidate would have experience in the woodworking industry, however we are open to bringing on someone with little to no experience if they have a good work ethic and are eager to learn. Good Work Ethic Willingness to learn new skills Open minded - We are a custom shop and are required to adapt to new skills and workplace processes Physically able to move hardwood lumber and plywood sheets around the shop - 50-75 lbs Attention to detail Able to over come mistakes and improve Safety compliant Some tasks that may be expected of you eventually (skills may be learned over time) Utilize various hands tools such as hammers, chisels, and saws Operate hand power and pneumatic tools such as skillsaw, jigsaw, nail guns, drills, routers Operate large power tools such as table saw, miter saw, planer, jointer, shaper, sanders Occasionally operate or aid in operation of heavy equipment such as skidsteer, saw mill, vehicles Aid in maintaining the shop by sweeping, picking up wood, burning scrap wood, put away tools, emptying dust collection Assembling furniture, cabinets, and other projects Lumber and plywood sorting Join our team and learn a new skill in a fun and relaxing work environment.
Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
