Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Formax Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Formax folding and inserting machines to ensure efficient production of high-quality printed materials. Your expertise will help streamline our processes, uphold safety standards, and contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery in a fast-paced environment where precision and quality are paramount. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor Formax folding and inserting equipment to meet production targets. Conduct routine inspections of machinery, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting issues promptly. Perform quality inspections on finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Assist with materials handling, including loading raw materials and removing finished goods using forklifts and hand tools. Follow safety protocols diligently, including lockout/tagout procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment. Maintain accurate production logs, shift reports, and quality documentation for traceability. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow, reduce waste through lean manufacturing principles, and improve overall efficiency. Requirements Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery, preferably in plastics blow molding, plastics extrusion, or plastics injection molding environments. Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, press brake machines, CNC lathes, and fabrication tools. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and use precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers. Skilled in using hand tools for assembly, fabrication, and minor repairs of equipment or components. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation is highly desirable. Valid warehouse experience including materials handling with forklift certification preferred. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality checks. Pay:
$25.00 - $55.00 per hour
