About Us:
SWD Inc. opened for business in March 1980 with three employees in a 9,000 sq. ft. leased facility and began black oxiding, cleaning, and pickling operations with used equipment. In late 1980, the company began passivating stainless steel and in 1981 purchased Fastener Sorting Corporation. Today, a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, SWD Inc. has over 250 employees and runs three shifts per day in its 250,000 sq. ft. facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois.

What We're Seeking:
We are seeking a full-time entry-level Dip Spin Machine Operator for 3rd Shift (
Hours:
11pm-7am). This full-time role must also be able to work Monday-Saturday! The starting pay is $19.50 per hour. New employees will receive performance evaluations and potential raises at 60 Days, 6 Months, and 12 Months, then annually each year after that.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Assist foreman with delegated duties Load jobs into the barrels as required Assist in loading and unloading of metal parts into machinery lines Operate and perform line inspections on machinery lines Track status of jobs Perform quality tests on parts and paints Assist maintenance department technician in troubleshooting line problems Practice safe work habits, following outlined policies and procedure Operate a forklift, following all required safety and operational procedures Reviewing and comprehending
Shop Orders Qualifications:
GED or High School Diploma (preferred not required) Manufacturing and forklift experience preferred Regularly required to lift or move up to 40 pounds You must be available to work weekends Basic reading and writing skills in English, in addition to basic math skills Strong communication and listening skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment Ability to work independently and with a team Attention to detail
