Job Description

Machine Operator Build Something That Moves the World Forward We're looking for a hands-on Machine Operator who takes pride in precision, quality, and getting the job done right. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our production floor—operating and fine-tuning equipment that brings high-quality seating components to life. What You'll Do Operate and monitor production machinery to manufacture seating and component parts with consistency and accuracy Set up machines for production runs, including material prep, tooling adjustments, and calibration Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure parts are produced to precise standards Perform routine adjustments and light troubleshooting to minimize downtime and keep production moving Use a tape measure and other tools to verify dimensions and maintain tight tolerances Work with punch presses and sheet metal equipment in a safe and efficient manner Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer expectations Support general production and labor tasks to keep operations running smoothly Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor What You Bring 1+ year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production environment Experience setting up machines and preparing equipment for production runs Ability to read blueprints and production specs with confidence Strong measurement skills (tape measure proficiency required) Experience working with sheet metal and punch press equipment Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset What Makes You Stand Out Experience in metal-based manufacturing Comfortable working with multiple machines and tools A proactive mindset—you don't just run machines, you improve them Ability to adapt in a fast-paced production environment Why You'll Love It Here Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off so you can recharge A company that values your work and promotes long-term career growth Work Environment Fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment Work with modern production equipment including punch presses and sheet metal machinery Physical role requiring standing, lifting, and consistent movement throughout the shift Ready to Apply? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Altamont, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.31 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
