Machine Operator - Press Brake Aerotek is hiring a Machine Operator - Press Brake to bend and fabricate metal parts in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with press brake experience, blueprint reading skills, and experience using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
Job Description:
Operate a press brake machine to bend metal parts to precise angles Read and interpret blueprints and production specifications Position and align parts correctly before each bend Measure finished parts using calipers and micrometers Perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications Maintain consistent production while prioritizing accuracy and quality Assist with light assembly and fabrication tasks as needed Operate additional equipment such as sand blasters, welders, and lasers when required Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Responsibilities:
Run press brake operations to meet production requirements Accurately set up and align metal components for bending Verify dimensions using measuring tools and blueprints Perform visual and dimensional inspections of finished parts Make basic adjustments to the press brake for efficient operation Support team production goals and meet deadlines Maintain organization and cleanliness on the shop floor
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience operating a press brake in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers Strong attention to detail and focus on quality Ability to work independently and follow instructions Comfortable working in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment Basic mechanical aptitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Bystronic press brake machines Exposure to welding, CNC, or other fabrication processes Willingness to cross-train on additional equipment
