Job Description:
Possibility Unpacked What you'll do: Extrusion Operator Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety. Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, and standard operating procedures. Organize, record, and ensure proper storage of resin. Adjust machine specifications, pressures, and equipment for each job. Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely. Work with and direct the extrusion assistant and other team mates to minimize job change-over and down time. Train and direct the extrusion assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time. All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management Slitter Operator Understand and implement safety aspects of machinery, including MMI guarding, light curtains, and e-stops. Follow customer specifications such as print specs, packing specs, SAP specs, and run conditions. Complete quality tests for each customer as listed in AIMS frequency and ensure 100% compliance. Achieve daily performance goals by adhering to schedule compliance in safety, quality, and productivity. Operate hoists/cranes to move large master rolls weighing up to 2,000 lbs safely. Properly use measuring tools such as measuring tapes, rulers, and lab equipment. Follow PPE policy compliance, especially the Glove Exception policy. Complete required paperwork, including Visual Check sheets and Run Condition Sheets. Ensure the production of quality products by troubleshooting and making adjustments as needed. Perform cleanups, changeovers, etc., safely and efficiently. Flag defects, provide upstream feedback, and remove defects. Actively participate in EHS and DLM activities (Tier 1 ownership). Press Operator Lead in all aspects of operation of Press lines including changeovers, machine start-up, running and shut-down. Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety. Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, print specification, color folders and standard operating procedures. Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely. This includes, but is not limited to; production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets (all flags are recorded), S.O.C sheets and all others as assigned. Work with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job change-over and down time. All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management What we want from you: Lead the Pack Preferred qualifications: Good work history Able to read and speak English Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler Willing to work Sundays, occasional mandatory overtime, and holidays Reliable attendance Must not be sensitive to inks, solvents or powder Display average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job task. Perform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling products.. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and exert up to 50 lbs. of pressure.
