Position Summary:
We are looking for a Machine Operator I to join our growing team! The Machine Operator I participates in the creation of high-quality, precision tools by operating one or more manual grinding machines. This position will make a difference in our operations to ensure we meet and exceed standards. Job Functions for
Machine Operator:
Operating assigned machine(s) such the etching machine and do necessary PM assigned by Supervisor Reads blueprint and job order for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground, and tooling instructions such as grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used Mounts grinding and regulating wheels, brushes, and routers on spindles True and dress wheels to specifications Adjust grinding speeds and feeds Mount and adjust jigs for the manual machines Lifts and positions work pieces/orders in desired areas Notify supervisor or conductions affecting safety and quality of tools Operating assigned machine(s) such the etching machine and do necessary PM assigned by Supervisor Perform first piece and in process inspection using measuring equipment, on products and verify against print specifications Complete other relevant duties to support operation requirements as needed Qualifications for
Machine Operator I :
Some High School experience or equivalent Must be able to lift and maneuver weights up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications for
Machine Operator I :
Ability to read and understand blue prints Strong attention to detail•Must be able to use measuring equipment including caliper and micrometer

Employee Assistance Program Physical Working Demands:
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate by phone using the English Language. Ability to sit for long periods (3-4 hours at a time) and the employee is regularly required to enter information into a computer. Must be able to lift 50 pounds to support the weight of machine components and be able to reach into machinery for several hours at a time. Position involves bending, pulling, pushing, and twisting to complete machine maintenance tasks. Must feel comfortable with heights and climbing ladders. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Compensation type:
$17•18 range depending on experience + monthly bonus potential Reports to:
Shift Supervisor Hours:
6:00 a.m•2:30 p.m (Monday•Friday)
