Description:
Position Summary :
Responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of laser cutting machinery to produce precise metal components according to work orders, blueprints, and quality standards, ensuring efficient production flow and safety compliance.
Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Machine Operation:
Set up, program, run laser cutting machines (e.g., Mitsubishi, Trumpf) to cut various materials
Material Handling:
Load/unload raw materials (sheet metal, tubing) using forklifts or manually
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance (checking alignment, etc.) troubleshooting
Collaboration:
Work with supervisors and other team members to meet production goals.
Requirements:
Qualifications :
Proven experience operating laser cutting machines Ability to communicate effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, good hand/eye coordination and problem-solving skills Knowledge of laser safety protocols Proficiency with measuring tools; ability to read blueprints, work orders and technical drawings
WORK ENVIRONMENT
: Fast-paced manufacturing environment, requiring adherence to strict safety guidelines Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Standing, walking, bending, and lifting and moving materials. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move medium- to heavy-weight components up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
