Job Description

SUMMARY This position is responsible for all functions listed below as a general laborer within the Mette Cabinets and Countertops stain & finish room machine operator, while working as a team to ensure orders are produced accurately and efficiently. Pay is dependent on previous work experience. DUTIES Operate the spray/sanding machinery and equipment. Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Receive approval on jobs before running it with a control sample. The control sample must be maintained throughout the entire job. Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Inspect and initial all parts before handing off to assembly. Assist with monitoring and maintain the proper inventory levels for shop materials and supplies. Perform maintenance on sanding machine and spray equipment. Assist with special projects assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS 1.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with strong mathematical aptitude. 2. Ability to accurately read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and work orders. 3. Be able to lift 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time. 4. Ability to work as a team player. 5. Ability to work in a wet, humid environment. 6. Must be minimum 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. 7. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
SCHEDULING
The normal working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The schedule is subject to change with production demands. Overtime is required when requested.
