Candidate must have machine operation experience. This is a contract to hire opportunity, meaning you will get hired directly after 3-6 months, depending on your performance and attendance. Job Summary:
Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushing, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads. Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to company standards. Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a numerical computer control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Requirements:
May be required to stand for long periods of time May involve some repetitive motions Daily must be able lift up to 3 pounds repetitively Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds when replacing fixture (monthly) May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperatures. conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Perform basic visual quality inspections on products Maintain the production pace of other team members Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties What are the perks?
