Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a full time Heat Treat operator to perform duties to efficiently and effectively assist in processing parts through our furnaces. Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to several elements continuously present including heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids and noise.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Load and unload parts. Process quality parts to process specifications. Inspect parts visually for foreign material and/or defects. Preform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork. Adhere to work instructions and process cards as required per job. Maintain a zero-defect mentality and be quality conscious. Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools. Support and participate in the departmental structure of self-directed work teams. Understand and perform to the AAG Quality Policy, taking pride in the products produced. Perform necessary preventative maintenance on machines as required or instructed. Move, load and unload materials as necessary. Deposit scrap items in designated area. Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process. Work Instruction Assignments". Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Previous manufacturing experience helpful Manual dexterity, visual acuity, mental alertness. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
