Machine Adjusters are responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of the folding machines, including overseeing Machine Operators. Additionally, are responsible for the troubleshooting and maintenance of the machines including job set-up on machines.
Responsibilities:
Follows the Company Safety Programs and Policies Must be able to work a shift-based schedule. We operate 5 days a week and run the weekends when production needs call for it. Must partner with Machine Operator in running the folding machine efficiently. Ability to run a machine and seek methods to enhance operation while making process more efficient. Must be able to understand basic ruler measurements with demonstrated basic math skills. Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced and changing environment. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with the flexibility to handle changing priorities. Mechanically inclined or has previous experience with envelope folding machines such as 527's, Classics, and SRW's to name a few.• Successful completion of a Trade School or Post- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches to precision measuring instruments such as volt meters and electrical and electronic testing devices. Inspect, operate or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions by using fault codes or safeties. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, machinery or equipment. Must be able to operate machines to ensure conformance specifications. Responsible for utilizing and maintaining machine safe guards. Responsible for setting up the machine for each scheduled job run. Maintains and adjust automatic envelope machine from die cut blanks to web. Install gears, knives, shafts, and rollers during set-up. Disassemble machine to replace broken or worn-out parts. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Operations & Manufacturing Director and overall plant operations.
Qualifications:
Must be able to understand basic ruler measurements with demonstrated basic math skills in transposition of ruler measurements into fractions. Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced and changing environment. Problem solving abilities while having the ability to make positive suggestions to co-workers Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with the flexibility to handle changing priorities. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards. Secondary Education Program preferred. Must be familiar with repairing machines or systems using the necessary tools. Ability to perform equipment maintenance and routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Must be able to troubleshoot, fault find, diagnose, and repair operating errors while working on the machine. Must be familiar with working with the following potential energy sources:

Electrical, Pneumatic, Vacuum, and Stored Hydraulic. Must be able to watch gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
