Machine Operator (2nd shift)

Job Summary:

Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in West Chicago, IL. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality output. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing machines and equipment according to production specifications Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment Maintain accurate production records and report any defects or inconsistencies Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role preferred Basic mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or production documents Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime if needed

Preferred Skills:

Experience with plastic manufacturing or injection molding (if applicable to operations) Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles Forklift certification (a plus)
