Hourly Non-Exempt, Full-Time SHIFT :
7:30a-4:15p Monday -
Friday PAY:
$19-21/hour
JOB SUMMARY
The Machine Operator II will play a crucial role in supporting our production processes and ensuring high-quality standards are met. This position requires a blend of mechanical, maintenance, and technical skills as well as acute attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate, maintain, troubleshoot various shop equipment, including digital presses with inline booklet maker. Operate bindery machinery (rotary die cutter, folding, laminating, guillotine cutting etc.). Operate letterpress equipment (foilpress, etc.). Perform maintenance on equipment, as needed and preventative, to ensure the equipment is operational. Assist in building and installing shelving units, worktables, and other tasks to support production needs. Assist in receiving/shipping and material handling tasks, to include offload of incoming materials, re-stocking shelves, and shipment of outgoing materials. Assist in the layout design and prepress preparation for projects, ensuring accuracy and quality. Manual packing and shipping operations. Accurately perform transactions in company ERP system, shipping software, etc. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production workflows. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma (or equivalent like a GED) Use of a ruler to accurately measure within 1/16 inch required. Experience in prepress processes and color management.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Ability to read, understand and interpret information on work orders and run lists. Ability to cross-train in all positions within the facility. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a collaborative mindset. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a willingness to learn new skills as needed. Mechanical aptitude to allow the appropriate machine repair and set ups. Proficient computer skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
