Job Title:
CNC Machine Operator Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating CNC machines to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machines (including lathes, mills and/or saws) according to production specifications. Monitor machining processes and conduct frequent in-process inspections to maintain accuracy and quality. Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine or tooling issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in CNC operation is required . Knowledge of CNC machining practices, tooling, and standard machining operations. Familiarity with turning and/or milling equipment. Ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges). Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings is a plus , but not required.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements. Effective communication skills in English to interact with supervisors and team members. Capable of identifying and correcting minor machining errors or inconsistencies. Good visual and auditory acuity required for inspections and machine monitoring.
Work Environment:
Industrial machine shop environment with exposure to oils, solvents, and chemicals. Climate-controlled facility (air-conditioned and heated), though equipment does not require air conditioning to operate.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle long steel bars (up to 12 feet). Occasional pushing and pulling of heavy materials or equipment.
