In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining screw machines and related equipment to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. Your expertise in machining processes, technical skills, and commitment to quality will contribute to the seamless production of high-quality parts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced factory environment where safety, precision, and continuous improvement are paramount. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor screw machines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to specifications. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing. Perform routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain proper tooling, fixtures, and tooling setups for various machining operations; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Document production activities accurately in logs or reports; participate in continuous improvement initiatives for process efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience operating screw machines or similar machining equipment within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical principles. Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers for quality assurance purposes. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings; understanding of factory safety procedures is essential. Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification is a plus. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred.
