Job Summary:
The Machine Operator will support the operations and maintenance of our Granulation and Powderizer processes, ensuring the safe and efficient production of granulated products and crumb rubber. This role is crucial for optimizing team performance and equipment functionality. As a an Operator, you will provide essential support to operators and maintenance teams, communicating effectively and coordinating scheduled maintenance and repairs to maximize productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety protocols and requirements. Maintain production quality to meet or exceed performance standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot machine malfunctions and operational challenges. Collaborate with team members for continuous training and development. Ensure adequate team coverage, especially during vacations or absences. Assist with knife changes and flips on equipment. Optimize production processes, including: Loading feed hoppers. Moving finished products and staging with forklifts. Performing daily housekeeping tasks. Maintain a clean and orderly production area and equipment in compliance with safety regulations. Communicate effectively across all levels within the organization to ensure smooth operation and coordination.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to train and motivate team members effectively. Forklift certification is a plus.
Educational and Experience :
High school diploma or GED equivalent. 1 year Forklift experience required Mechanical background in production environments. Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a similar role. Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
