Machine Operator

About the Job We are hiring Machine Operators at our corrugated packaging plant in Nashville, IL. You will run the machines that turn flat corrugated sheets into finished boxes, displays, and packaging products for our customers. No two days are exactly the same — you could be running boxes in the morning and display packaging in the afternoon. If you have experience running corrugated converting equipment, we want to talk to you. If you have manufacturing or machine operation experience in a different industry and want to learn corrugated, we're open to that too. Our Equipment Here's what we run. You don't need experience on all of these, but the more you know, the better: Rotary die-cutter

• Feeds corrugated sheets through a rotating die to cut and score them into box shapes. This is our main production machine for boxes and die-cut packaging. Flexo folder-gluers (FFGs)
• We have two of these. They print, fold, and glue flat corrugated blanks into finished boxes in one pass. High-volume box production. Flatbed diecutter
• Uses a flat steel-rule die to cut corrugated sheets into custom shapes. Used for displays, point-of-purchase packaging, and specialty die-cut work. Stitcher
• Staples corrugated pieces together for heavy-duty boxes and applications. Taper
• Applies tape to seal boxes and packaging. Hand-fed gluer
• Manually feeds corrugated pieces through a gluing machine for smaller or specialty runs. Bandsaw
• Cuts dies and trim materials. Laminator
• Bonds layers together for build-up pads and laminated packaging. Slitter
• Cuts corrugated sheets down to size.

What You'll Do Set up and operate corrugated converting machines according to job tickets and production specs Read job orders to understand box dimensions, board type, print requirements, and quantity Make adjustments during runs to maintain quality — check print registration, cut accuracy, fold alignment, and glue placement Change dies, plates, and machine tooling between jobs Monitor production speed and output

• keep the machine running efficiently while meeting quality standards Inspect finished product for defects — pull samples, check dimensions, and verify against the job order Perform basic maintenance on your machine — cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs Stack, palletize, or stage finished product for shipping Keep your work area clean and organized Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE What We're Looking For Experience operating manufacturing or converting equipment (corrugated experience is a plus but not required) Ability to read a tape measure, job ticket, and basic production specs Mechanical aptitude — comfortable making machine adjustments and minor repairs Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Team player who communicates well with supervisors and coworkers Willingness to learn — we will train the right person on our equipment Preferred Previous experience running a rotary die-cutter, flexo folder-gluer, or flatbed diecutter Experience in corrugated, packaging, printing, or a related manufacturing environment Forklift certification (or willingness to get certified)
