This role will be a full-time, permanent position. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to team safety and well being, being respectful, and acting with integrity. The ideal candidate will have experience in Bindery operation including folders, stitchers, guillotines, and perfect bindery, and will align with our core values and company culture. The Bindery Knife Operator (Cutter) is responsible for performing the daily operations of the Bindery department. They will perform daily activities required to bind and finish print materials, with a working knowledge of guillotine, folder, saddle stitcher, perfect binder, and additional assorted bindery equipment.Posting Status:

Monday to Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm.AS A BINDERY KNIFE OPERATOR
(CUTTER), YOUWILL MAKE YOUR IMPACT BY
Operating bindery machinery while recording all accounts on appropriate forms. Reading work orders and setting up equipment according to project specifications. Examining printed materials and products for defects to ensure conformance to specifications. Checking quality throughout the duration of each job at specified intervals. Providing on-the-job training to machine helpers and other operators. Performing regularly scheduled maintenance and preventative checks on equipment. Respecting and abiding to all Health and Safety policies while conducting routine safety checks on equipment. Communicating details of schedules and job information for co-workers on shift changes.YOU CAN EXCEL AS A BINDERY KNIFE OPERATOR
(CUTTER)IF YOU HAVE
A completion of secondary education and/or equivalent. Experience using similar bindery equipment in a commercial print environment. Production knowledge of machine bindery equipment (folders, stitchers, guillotines, perfect bindery, etc) is essential. The ability to lift up to 35 pounds with a strong manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination. A high level of attention to detail and quality consciousness. The ability to read, understand, and follow instructions and procedures with minimal supervision. The ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.WHAT S IN IT FOR YOU
Compensation :
The expected salary for this position is $27 per hour.
