Job Description

The primary function of the Die Changeover Setup Technician is to inspect, repair, replace, assemble, revise, and set up dies, tools, and fixtures. This position supports production continuity and quality by maintaining tooling, completing changeovers, troubleshooting setups, and ensuring dies and related equipment meet proper specifications.
Shifts:
Monday - Friday 3:00PM to 11:00
PM Key Responsibilities:
Set up machines, dies, and equipment to maintain production continuity and meet quality standards. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations. Maintain accurate records of setups, maintenance, and production data. Follow all safety protocols and company procedures. Perform minor mechanical machine and tooling repairs, including stops, stock rails, slug rails, and related components. Work from prints, engineering process sheets, samples, sketches, and verbal instructions. Replace broken or worn parts. Reassemble, measure, and shim dies and fixtures to proper specifications. Convert multi-job dies to the specifications required for new parts. Calculate and measure die clearances and troubleshoot and adjust setups. Maintain an inventory of expendable die parts. Prepare accurate die maintenance reports. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or machine setup role recommended. Perform basic torch and welding tasks as needed for equipment setup, repair, or fabrication. Basic Robot experience recommended. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to communicate (verbal & written) with Engineering and Toolroom Teams. Train on dayshift

$21.71 - $26.02 per hour
