Label Operator 1st Shift Fresh Express - 3.2 Streamwood, IL Job Details Full-time From $18.80 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications English Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description The Label Operator position is responsible for ensuring that all clam shell or salad bowl labels are correct for the individual SKU and must comply with the current package coding requirements. Setting up labeling machine with the correct labels and the correct package coding is also required, while meeting and exceeding all safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Schedule:
Monday through Saturday, 5:30AM to 4:00PM Job Function Statements -
Essential Functions:
Communicate and understand the Production schedule. Perform all required changeovers within the proper time frame. Perform visual inspection of all label coding and placement. Knowledge and understanding of all product labeling requirements. Filter out all non-conforming containers as it relates to label coding, legibility of print and package integrity. Communicate quality issues/concerns to the appropriate personnel. Conduct all label changes within time standards. Maintain a clean and organized working environment. Complete all documentation as required. Must be able to meet daily production standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be mechanically inclined and adhere to LOTO procedures as required. Must be able to perform minor equipment repairs and perform operator PM tasks.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Must be able to understand and execute actions based on verbal and visual instructions. Must pass drug tests and background checks. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English. Must pass the CSD Gold Case verification test. Must pass printer test in Alchemy. (Theory of Operation Printer and ink jet coder.)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 20+ lbs. Stand for the duration of the shift (10 hours or more) Bend continuously throughout the shift Ability to work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Perform repetitive motions for the duration of the shift Ability to reach with hands and arms in order to check product
