Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bindery Operator to join our production team on first shift. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience operating flat-bed die cutting equipment (such as Bobst) and guillotine cutters (e.g., Saber or equivalent). This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Accurately read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production specifications Set up, operate, and monitor bindery equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality Operate flat-bed die cutters and guillotine cutting equipment safely and effectively Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with preventative maintenance activities Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production standards Load raw materials, position cutting dies, and adjust guides, pressure rolls, and cutting speeds as required Inspect finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards Maintain a clean and organized work area Provide support to other departments as needed

Qualifications:

Proven experience operating flat-bed die cutters (e.g., Bobst) and guillotine cutters (e.g., Saber or similar) Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement tools (rulers, calipers, micrometers) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during the shift High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
