RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will require onsite presence at our Valmeyer, IL facility. Mar Graphics 523 S. Meyer Ave, Valmeyer, IL 62295
Position Overview:
Assists press operators in the makeready and running of presses. Assistance will be required in the day-to-day preparation of materials and equipment needed to produce printed products. May also be asked to assist with routine press maintenance, and to operate press on a fill-in basis as needed. Establishes and maintains a solid working relationship with co-workers to ensure maximum plant productivity and quality control according to established standards. May also be asked to assist in other areas of plant as workload permits, i.e. in the bale room. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Open mill rolls and mount rolls on press. Mix ink and keep ink in trays. Bend and mount plates. Sharpen perf and slitter wheels. Perform washups and assist in makeready of job. Unload finished material and prepare material for shipping. Ensure that water tanks remain full. Learn the operation of the press and operate unassisted during peak backlog situations. As part of "Make Ready" cleans and lubricates press. Investigates production problems and/or errors to identify possible changes in procedures to prevent re-occurrence. Assists in equipment maintenance and reports any down time that will affect production schedules and delivery commitments. Assists operators in any manner that is required to maximize productivity and maintain quality. Adheres to company safety policies, practices and procedures.

Employee must be meeting attendance expectations• - no more than unexcused 3 absences, no more than 6 unexcused tardy occurrences, and 0 "No Call-No Shows" within the last 90 days. •Unexcused occurrences do not include pre-approved accommodations provided by the Person Office.
Tenure :
Employee must have a minimum of 90 days tenure at Qualfon.
Performance :
Employee must be meeting KPI expectations. Agent cannot have any current corrective actions at a written level or probation/final warning Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.). Language Skills Ability to read and analyze instructions, correspondence, memos, technical procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from supervisors, customers and other employees of the Company. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with multiple variables. Other Skills and Abilities Ability to prioritize daily work and projects. Multiple operational skills and individual flexibility are required to meet the needs of the business and customers. Physical Demand While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms. Duties of this job also require the employee to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift up to 50 pounds. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While the plant is climate controlled, there may be times during certain weather events when the working environment may be colder or hotter than normal.
