The Extrusion Technician operates and maintains machinery that shapes thermoplastic materials into continuous forms, ensuring product quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Machine Operation :

Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion lines to produce quality sheet of various widths and thicknesses.

Quality Control :

Conduct visual and dimensional checks to ensure products meet quality standards, adjusting machine parameters as necessary.

Maintenance :

Perform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment, troubleshoot issues, and assist in repairs to minimize downtime.

Data Recording :

Keep accurate records of production data, machine performance, and any quality issues encountered during the production process.

Collaboration :

Work closely with engineers and other technicians to optimize production processes and implement improvements. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in operating extrusion machinery and understanding of thermoplastic materials and their properties. Ability to perform basic math, use of tape measure, and micrometer.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently. Attention to

Detail:

Strong focus on quality control and adherence to safety standards in the manufacturing environment. Forklift certification

Teamwork:

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, often training junior operators and assisting maintenance teams.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years related experience required.
