POSITION SUMMARY
The Assembly Setup position is responsible for setting up, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting all tooling and machinery within the department. This role ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting production goals, training operators, and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
MAIN DUTIES
Set up, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot all tooling and machinery. Perform weekly machine lubrication and preventive maintenance tasks. Qualify, train, and support new machine operators. Ensure all safety devices are properly installed and functioning correctly. Record all repairs, maintenance activities, and machine adjustments in log books. Safely operate all machinery within the department. Successfully complete forklift safety certification requirements. Relieve machine operators as needed. Lift, push, and pull materials up to 90 lbs. Climb ladders and perform work at varying heights as required. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department lead. Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous manufacturing, assembly, machine setup, or maintenance experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and machinery. Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and maintenance documentation. Ability to safely operate production machinery and equipment. Ability to obtain and maintain forklift safety certification. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to train and assist new operators. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 90 lbs. Ability to climb ladders and work in a manufacturing environment. Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
